Makanyi is a luxury safari lodge that opened its doors in June 2015. Located in the Timbavati and open to the Kruger National Park, we traverse approximately 6,000 hectares, offering a fantastic game viewing experience of the Big 5, the legendary and extremely rare white lions and a multitude of other wildlife, including over 350 bird species.
The lodge comprises 7 large luxury suites, each with a separate living area with a fireplace, and a private deck overlooking the dam with the traditional outdoor shower. The bathrooms are extremely generous with double sinks, a large shower, a freestanding bathtub and a separate toilet. All the suites are equipped with air conditioning, a mini bar, a coffee and tea station and premium Africology amenities. The two honeymoon suites feature four-poster beds and a private plunge pool.
As a guideline, your day will consist of two game drives and we also organize guided bush walks and other fascinating and educational activities. Our aim, however, is to be flexible and cater to your preferences and schedule whenever possible.
