The breathtaking landscape of Bateleur Main Camp
This breathtaking landscape of Bateleur Main Camp is situated in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. Surrounded by the beautiful countryside, wildlife such as Nyala, Warthog, Bushbuck, White elephants, Buffalo and Rhino can be seen walking through the river banks, right in front of the camp.
The Bateleur camp is renowned for it's remote feel, the exclusive location ensures privacy, giving guests the chance to experience closer interaction with nature and their family. There is little to no reception, providing the chance to reconnect with a loved one as well as mother nature.
Experiences at Bateleur
The Bateleur Main Camp is equipped with a fully stocked bar and a swimming pool, perfect for cooling off after a long bush walk in the hot African sun. There are also braai facilities next to the pool, giving foreign guests the opportunity to try South African cuisine. A tribal dance around the bonfire can also be arranged for entertainment.
It is strongly advised to go for a game view were one gets to experience wildlife first hand. These game drives depart twice daily. Once in the morning and again in either the late afternoon or night.
The camp offers guided hikes in the bush, allowing explorers to connect with nature in a more intimate way.

This majestic camp not only serves breakfast, lunch and dinner but also offers a variety of sleeping arrangements. Whether it's a romantic get away for two or a family tent of eight. The Bateleur camp will ensure that these nature lovers are at your most comfortable when turning down for the night.
These Safari tent suites, equipped with outside showers, provide guests with the luxury of stargazing at night.
The Bateleur Main Camp encourages first time visitors to stay another day by offering a complementary night. This special is valid from the 1st of May 2018 to the 31st December 2019. Stay for three nights but only pay for two.
This paradise is home to the big 5. There are various animals walking through the camp. This includes the likes of antelope, small predators, and over 500 different species of birds, making this secluded spot perfect for bird watching.
