Walker’s River Camp have recently acquired a share in a farm to our north, adding 580 Ha to our traverse (now up to 3000Ha).
Steve Walker is a Safari Guide at Ngala. He was on leave at WalkersRiverCamp on 9th August, heading up to this new farm when he heard
much excitement on the radio from Kambaku Rangers. He arrived on the scene towards the end of the action between two of the major predators of the bush
A young leopard had killed a cub from the nearby hyena den, and took it up a Marula tree.
The hyenas somehow managed to drag the leopard out of the tree and through the bush, by his tail. They killed and ate him.
