08 January: Wild Dogs!

I was fortunate enough to get out on drive last week and was spoilt with some wonderful sightings.

A large pack of wild dog has been working its way through the resident impala population! This pack of 29 dogs has been incredibly efficient in tackling a couple of impala on a daily basis and they have provided our guests with some magnificent times over the last couple weeks.

Then leopard viewing has also been fantastic. The Rockfig female gifted us a great opportunity to photograph her in a large Marula tree with some wonderful late afternoon light. She really treated us as she continued moving around the tree and calling at the same time!
